Sports Punt Tips: NBA Today

NBA Player Props

After easily hitting on John Wall’s Over 20.5 points, Kevin Durant couldn’t get the job done to go 1-1 on the day.

So we’re onto the next with all eyes on Brook Lopez of the Milwaukee Bucks as he matches up against Nikola Jokic – one of the worst defending big men in the NBA.

The Nuggets give up 24.4 points per game to opposing centers for ninth-most in the league. Having gone over 12.5 points in four of his last six games including three over 20, Lopez looks good to surpass the number here.

He’s averaging three made three-point shots on 7.1 attempts per game so far this season. A little more than average against a famously poor defender should be enough to see us go over.

TIP: Brook Lopez Over 12.5 Points

DFS: DraftKings (cash)

Anchor: Anthony Davis

Fantasy Labs have Davis projected for 59 DraftKings points – the most on the slate.

And for good reason.

The Pelicans big has been on a tear lately scoring 43 and 40 points in his last two games. Following his slow patch in which he missed time and nursed an injury, Davis has exploded back into MVP consideration with back-to-back monster performances.

At $11,600 on DraftKings, Davis is a strong anchor to build your team around.

Cheapie: De’Aaron Fox

Russell Westbrook is a game-time decision for the Thunder, but Fox is a nice pickup here anyway.

Westbrook won’t play his usual minutes if he does suit up leaving Dennis ‘turnstile’ Schroeder to defend Fox. Having exceeded his expected points in 73% of the matches he’s played this season, the prospect of him passing the 36.6 projected points is a juicy one.
