Last Punts: It was a few days ago now but Cavaliers +9.5 cashed in with ease. Blazers +7 … not so much.
On to the next.
Time is of the essence today so not much time for a write up.
I do, however, really like the value on offer in the Pelicans to beat the Celtics at home.
The Celtics are struggling immensely at the moment and while the Pelicans aren’t the most consistent team out there, Anthony Davis is on a tear. He can play enough of a role to get the New Orleans offence going while nobody has needed to do much to slow the Celtics down offensively of late.
It’s difficult to see the Celtics and their 106.0 offensive rating putting up enough off a fight to counter the Pelicans’ 114.0 rating.
Yes, the Celtics are one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, but we’ve seen how that translates in the W/L columns though 20 games (10-10).
Their $1.84 back price was already appealing before the 3.8% edge identified by Betfair’s NBA Prediction Model put the icing on the cake.
Tip: Pelicans ML ($1.84)
